Find the Good Day
Find the Good Day is an annual, strategic day of giving and public awareness campaign organized by the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). Its primary purpose is to raise funds to support the mission of the entire Junior League movement and to celebrate the collective impact of its members.
The “Find the Good” Philosophy
The name is very intentional. It directly reflects the core mission of the Junior League:
“Find the Good” means to identify community needs and problems that need solving.
“Day” represents the action of rolling up your sleeves and doing something about it.
The phrase encapsulates the Junior League’s model of training volunteers to be effective civic leaders who don’t just identify issues but take action to address them.
Junior League of Greater Covington Recognized by AJLI for Superb Efforts in 2023 Find the Good Day Campaign
Junior League of Greater Covington (JLGC) was honored as the winner of the AJLI International Find the Good Day Award at the Association of Junior Leagues International’s National Conference in New Orleans. JLGC Find the Good Day Chair, Faith Troxler and the committee created a week of innovative and enthusiastic events designed to create awareness of the good the League does in the community.
“It was an honor to be recognized for the Inaugural International Find the Good Day Award. Faith Troxler, showed immense leadership along with her committee, to organize multiple events focused on wellness and the Junior Leagues’ impactful community projects year-round through a social media campaign and fundraiser. We thank our many partners, particularly LCMC Lakeview Hospital, the Covington Beer Garden and Kendra Scott for supporting this event through pop-ups and givebacks which enabled JLGC to raise over $3,000 in a grant awarded to Family Promise of St. Tammany.” Amy Puerto, 2022-2024 JLGC President.
In 2023, JLGC hosted a Heath Pop-Up Wellness and Shopping Experience at Lakeview Hospital, attended trivia night at Covington Beer Garden to foster pop-up shopping benefiting the project and had a peer-to-peer social media campaign. A percentage of the Find the Good Day campaign was donated to Family Promise of St. Tammany, a nonprofit dedicated to ending family homelessness.
More about FTGD: International FIND the GOOD DAY (FTGD) is celebrated every second Thursday in September to celebrate Junior Leagues around the globe and showcase all the GOOD they do around the world daily, making it a brighter place.
